Week in Review: April 20th, 2008

Vacation was excellent. We spent Monday through Thursday snuggled in a mountain cabin. Donna and her hubby and kids got to go on adventures, while my hubby and I got to enjoy jacquzzi bathtubs, hot tubs, and quiet afternoons in rocking chairs on a back porch while staring at the mountains and listening to a brook.

Nice.

However! Not so much a time for writing. So we got home thursday night and on Friday set about catching up with a week’s worth of missed work at a time when we really couldn’t afford it.

Yeah, we’ve been busting ass. Mostly on churning out the last part of the book (which had been outlined but not finished. Whoops. Victims of not realizing people would like the first part!)

However, considering the fact that we average 15k a week, I’m not too worried about getting it finished. ;)

We’ve also been finishing up Red Rock Pass #1 (Which should come in just shy of 30k), a novella set in a darker world with a lot of inherent danger.

We’re also trying to challenge ourselves by moving a bit outside our comfort zone by coming up with a NON paranormal submission to Cobblestone Press’ Naughty November. Our story is a short novella with two heroes, one heroine and a heist. Stolen goods, sarcastic banter and hot, hot threesomes are the order of the day there. (And not a werewolf in sight.)

So, that’s where we stand. Busy little bees, struggling to keep up with all the things we want to do. There are just too damn many of them!
