Last Hope New Release Contest!
Welcome to our first contest of 2009! (Getting a jump start on the last day of 2008!) We could have done a post summing up the past, but today we’re going to look to the future, and the future includes three new releases in January! Vampires and psychics and shapeshifters, OH MY!
So to herald in the new year, how about a new kind of contest? We’re going to run this for the entire month of January, and at the end we’ll pick three winners to score some gift certificate swag from Loose Id along with free ebooks: Moonshine, Some Like it Haunted and The 13th Step.

Why these three books? Each is a short story or novella that will give you a peek into the world explored in Last Hope: the dangerous town of Mystic Valley and a few of the people who live there. While some of the characters in these three books make appearances, Last Hope is a new book in a new series, and we did our best to make sure it could be enjoyed as such. However, we figured it might be fun to give away a few copies of these three stories, so that’s what we’re doing! So what’s this book about… ?

I love werewolves more than vampires but each has their good points. Usually weres are warm and great to snuggle with in bed so that is why they are first choice.
This is a hard choice because I do like both but I would have to say that I do like werewolves a little more than vampires. Maybe more than a little. Happy New Year!!!!!

Hmm, tough question. I like the idea of vampires, but they’re usually done crappily. Werewolves CAN be done crappily, but I see better portrayals of them. SO I’m gonna say werewolves.
I like both and I dislike both. I enjoy the thought of immortality for the vampires, and their “smoothness”, the way they are so assured (well at least the old ones). I really dislike the idea of drinking blood. I suppose it depends on the “type” of vampire. If they don’t have to kill their donors, then that is fine!

Werewolves, the idea of changing you shape is amazing! Plus, I have an affinity for wolves (I have a tat of one on my back, although he needs to be fixed *pout*). As for my dislike….well… they can be a bit hairy!
Hmm, I like both but I think I lean more towards Team Vampire. There are so many different types and variety.

I am much more of a werewolf fan than a vampire fan, though each have done well in different books and I enjoy reading about them both. There’s just something special about shifters that draws me to them more so than bloodsuckers. lol

I love the immortality aspect of vampires but I also think the animal nature of the shifters makes them very sexy.

I love the whole shape-shifting of the Werewolves and I also love the gothic type Vampires….So if I had to choose which of them I loved most…It would be “BOTH”!!
For the sake of our four legged friends, I’m for Team Werewolf!!!! As long as I’m not the one that is being hunted, for I’m not sure how you out smart a werewolf! Now a Vamp, I’m sure I could pull a cross out and put him in his place…humm perhaps I should rethink this…naw, I’m still for Team Werewolf! What I’ll do is make cross neckbands for all the members of the werewolf team to wear and that way we’ll beat team vamp in no time!!! ;-*

Team Werewolf, definitely, although I don’t have anything special against Team Vampire, either.
I guess I would like both as long as the vampire is able to reproduce it’s sad when you get the original themed vampire stories, that once they beome immortal they then become infertile. I like the new age stories that authors write about vampires that can have babies. And werewolves are just animals in the bed I love when they write thhe stories so sexy and graphic. Lol

Hmm tough call-certain novels I love the slickness of the old world vampires; doesn’t get more suave than that. But at hwart I am an animal girl lol. Love my two kitties though that’s a momma’s kind of love. But defiently team shifter…fur to keep you warm in the winter for snuggletime, claws to defend your honor and usually really BIG..hearts!:-D
