A fun RWA talk & a contest!
Yesterday Donna & I visited the Southern Magic chapter of the RWA (for the first time!) to see Angela James give a talk on digital publishing. Angie’s a dynamic and entertaining speaker (who’s surprised?) and it was a lot of fun, even if she did make us talk & answer questions. :p (Whaaaat, I’m shy! Bet you couldn’t tell that from how loudly I speak around these parts, huh?)
It wasn’t so bad, though, and everyone knows I love digital publishing with my grubby little heart, so it was fun to get to tell people some of the reasons why. (Yes, we do see our first royalties within a 45 days of most of our ebook releases! Mmmmm. Speedy.) I also got to meet some very nice people, including Kym, who did the line edits for Crux. All in all, it was a pretty awesome time.
