NO…I’m a bookaholic & just started backing up some of my all time favorites on ebooks were available. My dad always use to joke that the house was going to tip to one side because of my book collection…so I spread them around evenly now, LOL!!!

@Mandi: I know! She only had two books out when I picked up the first one…the wait for Queen of Darkness was unbearable! Not that it gets any easier now that I wait for every new one. :p

@Lexie: Mercedes Lackey is another one I have quite a few of. Her, Tamora Pierce & Anne McCaffrey were three of my huge young adult/teenage authors. (And David Eddings & Robert Jordan, I suppose. LOL)

@Fiction Vixen: My guiltiest habit is ordering a paperback book and then finishing the previous book in the series too fast or just not being able for it to wait to show up and buying the kindle version to read while I’m waiting. I’ve done that with Ann Aguirre & Nalini Singh, and when Demon Forged didn’t show up the day it released I bought the kindle version first thing in the morning!

I’m really struggling to see what the problem is. Because if I admit you have a problem, than I have to admit I have a problem

I am very guilty of buying Kindle books then turning around and buying the paper books. I buy Kindle for the instant gratification, then fall in love with a series and need to have the paper books on my book shelf. My husband has no idea I double buy. shhhh don’t tell him. Please?

Its funny because I have a few series that I have in multiples–Maria V. Snyder, Sydney J. Van Scyoc, Rosemary Edghill, Mercedes Lackey–but I try NOT to get multiples. The trouble arises when I have say books 1 and 3 of a series, but not the 2nd or 4th and see the omnibus for real cheap. Then I have to buy the omnibus and STILL buy the individual books to satisfy my completist mentality.

Its not a problem though, it just means you will NEVER wear those books out.

I still remember my first Anne Bishop book, Daughter of the Blood – I will never forget reading it – I love her as an author!

@Melissa Goodreads has stopped me somewhat from buying books by mistake, but I’m afraid I still buy duplicates on purpose. I think that’s a symptom of my illness!

@Dawn Oh yeah, I can keep a book looking nice the first time through, maybe the second or third, but you can tell which of those I’ve had the longest. Rawn, Bishop & Armstrong have all taken a beating on my shelves. LOL

Lol! I finally decided to pay the $50 lifetime membership to LibraryThing so I could stop confusing myself. Of course, when I forget to update it regularly, I wind up with duplicates anyway! Less often though–I’m on a budget here…one that is so hard to resist in the bookstores!
