On Sale Now: Skin Game by Ava Gray

Today marks a new turn for Ann Aguirre! She’s got a shiny new penname and a shiny new genre, and Ava Gray knocks it out of the park with Skin Game.

I have made many Ann Aguirre recs in the past, and they were all the devoted love of a moderately objective fangirl. Ann Aguirre’s writing rocks, so it’s easy to fangirl. Skin Game by Ava Gray But in the intervening months since my first love song on this blog, I’ve been fortunate enough to acquire Ann as a friend, as well, and it’s no wonder her writing rocks so much–she does too. The fact that she’s been unfailingly supportive to Donna and I while we struggle with through an awkward phase of our writing career is something I’ll always be insanely grateful for.

That just makes me doubly excited to see her new release today! I loved this book from the first line–Kyra held the guy’s balls in the palm of her hand. Literally.–straight on through to the last. Reyes and Kyra are awesome, dark, delicious, wonderfully flawed and yearning characters, and the only reason this book isn’t the most awesome book I’ve read recently is because I’ve also read the sequel Skin Tight and whoa, that book needed 6.5/5 stars.

So if you like dangerous romantic suspense with a hint of the paranormal (think more mutants than wizards), this book is for you.
