Who’s Who in Red Rock Pass?

This is our slowly-growing, soon-to-be-official guide to Who’s Who in the Red Rock Pass series!  I’ve expanded it a little to describe who the characters are as of the beginning of Sanctuary’s Price (and one addition you meet during that book!)  If you have any questions, ask!  Hopefully I can refine this and get it up on our website soon.

This list will contain MINOR spoilers!  Nothing you couldn’t get from reading the blurbs from the first three books–but knowing who the heroes & heroines are does tend to make certain plot developments in earlier books a little anti-climactic.  ;)

Reluctant Heir Apparent: Keith Winston
Hero: Cry Sanctuary (Book #1)

It’s good to be King…or that’s the theory, anyway.  Keith has been groomed from a young age to expect that he’ll one day take over as Alpha of Red Rock, but the loss of his first love drove him away from the pack and the town.  After five years fighting in the European war between wizards and werewolves, Keith’s come home to try to remember what he was fighting for.  Now he just has to figure out what that is. First Appearance: Cry Sanctuary

Joe Mitchell Knows Kung-Fu
Hero: Sanctuary Lost (Book #2)
http://www.mybookstoreandmore.com/shop/product.da/sanctuary-lost

Every broody hero needs a friend to kick his ass from time to time.  Joe and Keith met in the Army–the human one–and Joe reacted rather well to discovering his new best friend was a werewolf.  Joe’s choice to join the pack and become a werewolf didn’t go quite as well as he might have hoped, and rumor has it that his wise-cracking playboy act might cover an emotional wound or three.  Just don’t suggest so to his face…he knows kung fu. First Appearance: Cry Sanctuary

The Hottest 120 Year Old in Red Rock: Gavin Hamilton

Gavin may not be as young as he used to be, but only a fool would underestimate the man who has kept Red Rock safe from outsiders for over fifty years.  But fighting is for young men, and Gavin’s ready to settle down and enjoy a few years of well-earned relaxation–or he would be, if Keith seemed ready to take his place. First Appearance: Cry Sanctuary

Ass-Kicking Den Mother: Samantha Hamilton

Sam is Red Rock’s sugar-momma.  Life as an heiress never brought her any joy, but you can bet she’s had no reservations about spending her money for the good of the town.  Thanks to Sam, refugees have a place to stay and some time to get back on their feet before they’re expected to become useful contributors to the community.  She’ll kick ass and take names to defend her pack…or to keep her husband from smoking in the damn house. First Appearance: Cry Sanctuary

Being a Country Doc Means Never Having To Say ‘Where’s the Cookbook’: Cindy Shepherd
Heroine: Sanctuary Unbound (Book #4: June 2010)

Cindy had a rough introduction to the world of werewolves, but seven years is a long time and this country doc just wants to move on.  Of course, moving on with the cute beta who arrived in town in a heroic swirl of defiance might not have been the best move–Cindy & Dylan’s relationship seemed doomed from the start, and with new love becoming something of an epidemic in town, Cindy’s had enough of lovestruck men.  Or has she? First Appearance: Cry Sanctuary

I WAS Just a Girl: Abigail Adler
Heroine: Cry Sanctuary (Book #1)
http://www.mybookstoreandmore.com/shop/product.da/cry-sanctuary

Abby lived a mostly ordinary life, until she caught the attention of the wrong man.  The attack that turned her into a werewolf was only the beginning of the nightmare her life was about to become.  Now she’s fighting an overwhelming flood of new instincts and trying to find a way to stay safe with the scariest man she’s ever met desperate to make her his Werewolf Princess. First Appearance: Cry Sanctuary

Beta With Nerves of Steel: Dylan Gennaro
Hero: Sanctuary’s Price (Book #3)
http://www.mybookstoreandmore.com/shop/product.da/sanctuarys-price

The alpha men of the world could learn a thing or two from Dylan Gennaro.  He may be a good way down his Pack’s pecking order, but he’s never let that stop him when something needs doing…or a friend needs saving.  He didn’t expect to survive when he made the choice to defy his alpha and take Abby to the sanctuary of Red Rock, but he got the job done.  He always does. First Appearance: Cry Sanctuary

Still Not President…Yet:  Brynn Adler
Heroine: Sanctuary Lost (Book #2)
http://www.mybookstoreandmore.com/shop/product.da/sanctuary-lost

Brynn may be the baby of the Adler family, but the cut-throat world of politics made her grow up fast.  Brynn has goals and lists and a ten year plan, and has prepared for every contingency.  Well, almost every contingency.  Being kidnapped by megalomaniacal werewolves may turn out to be the one thing she can’t plan her way out of. First Appearance: Cry Sanctuary

I’m a Witchy Girl in a Werewolf World: Sasha Wallace
Heroine: Sanctuary’s Price (Book #3)
http://www.mybookstoreandmore.com/shop/product.da/sanctuarys-price

Life hasn’t been easy for Sasha Wallace. Orphaned at a young age, it was only the intercession of her grandmother’s best friend who kept Sasha’s confused relatives from trying to exorcise the demon out of her. Being a witch in America is hard–werewolves clearly rule the country and they don’t much care for their wizardly brethren.  Her mentor struck a deal with Keith Winston and didn’t live to see it through, leaving Red Rock with an apprentice witch and Sasha trying to find her footing in a town where most people don’t much like her. First Appearance: Sanctuary Lost

One of These Things Is Not Like the Others: Adam Dubois
Hero: Sanctuary Unbound (Book #4: June 2010)

Adam Dubois is better known as the Vampire Lumberjack, and he makes his character debut in Sanctuary’s Price. Friends with Gavin from waaaaay back, Adam has been hiding in a cabin in the Great North Woods since the 1940s, and only communicates with the outside world when strictly necessary.

    No? *pout*
*sigh* I guess I’ll just have to reread the others while I’m waiting. *grin*

  2. *jumps up and down* Book 4 will be about Adam! I tell you, he caught my attention in a big way. I really liked him. :)

  3. Bree says:

@Rhian Now, now lady. I told you…when the book is finished, you’ll know! LOL

@Donna I’m so glad you liked Adam! Not only is book #4 about him, but we’re working on our Red Rock spin-off novella where people will get a glimpse of Gavin and Adam in 1933. :D

  4. Bree! Yay! I’ll be keeping a watch out for it, can’t wait to read more about Adam. Thanks for sharing that with me.

I saw your tweet today and was going to reply but today was crazy at work and before you know it I was doing something else. Kinda had to keep my nose to the grinding stone and get a project moving.

  5. Bree says:

@Donna Oh, I entirely understand. I’m like that all the time, especially when I have a project going on. Before I started replying in gmail I would sometimes hit reply to open a compose window to an email, forget it, do it again…my record might be 4. ;)
