The Biggest Winner Post Ever

Welcome to the biggest award post ever!  We’re closing out all of our contests today, after which the winners will have one week to contact us before we pick new winners.  Speed is of the essence, folks!  But first…

At the beginning of the Big Bad Maine Contest I mentioned that one of our prizes was a gift certificate to Sojourn Curiosities, where a lovely Maine artist named Sarah will hook you up with some fabulous handmade jewelery!

I originally met the fabulous artist in question on twitter, where we discovered the unbelievable coincidence that she is now teaching at the tiny spot-on-a-map school that I attended growing up.  Since people 50 miles away have never heard of this town, that is a pretty big coincidence.  So I’m excited to give her a chance to say a little about her work and show off some awesome pictures!

I live by the sea. For most of my life, I thought I was a mountain girl, but now I know I’ve found my true love. Winter mornings when the tide is out, you can find me bundled up in a massive down coat with ample pocket space, strolling the waterfront for sea-worn treasures that others miss because they fear the breath-stealing cold. My sculpted wire jewelry is built around found and re-purposed objects, mainly antique keys, and sea glass and sea pottery shards.
