Top Six Contest Day Five: Autographed Books

Welcome to day five, which is getting started a little late because of that thing no one tells you about living in the middle of nowhere–good God it’s hard to get reliable internet.
Thankfully it’s not quite has hard to get mail, and sometimes my mailbox has goodies in them that light up my life. Some of my favorites are autographed books. There’s something so cool about opening that shiny book and seeing you favorite author left her mark, and I gotta say it’s one thing that’s hard to reproduce with ebooks.
Don’t fret, gentle readers! Today I have not one but two autographed books, both kick-ass urban fantasies with sequels coming out in early 2010, and I’m such a nice gal that I’m willing to share them with one lucky winner.
Right now, I’m a redhead. I’ve been blonde and brunette as the situation requires, though an unscheduled color change usually means relocating in the middle of the night. So far, I’m doing well here. Nobody knows what I’m running from. And I’d like to keep it that way…
Eighteen months ago, Corine Solomon crossed the border to Mexico City, fleeing her past, her lover, and her “gift”. Corine, a handler, can touch something and know its history—and sometimes, its future. Using her ability, she can find the missing—and that’s why people never stop trying to find her. People like her ex, Chance…
Chance, whose uncanny luck has led him to her doorstep, needs her help. Someone dear to them both has gone missing in Laredo, Texas, and the only hope of finding her is through Corine’s gift. But their search may prove dangerous as the trail leads them into a strange dark world of demons and sorcerers, ghosts and witchcraft, zombies—and black magic…

When Homicide Detective Kara Gillian finds traces of arcane power on a body, she quickly realizes that this is no ordinary murder. The serial killer known as the Symbol Man is a nightmare that Beaulac, Louisiana thought had ended three years ago, but now he’s back for an encore and leaving every indication on the flesh of his victims that he is well-versed in demonic lore.
However, Kara is a Summoner of Demons, and may be the only cop on the city’s small force who can stop the killer. Able to see and interact with a world most people can’t, Kara must draw on her skills as a police officer and master of the arcane to stop the Symbol Man from killing again and possibly summoning something even she can’t control.
But with a demonic lord of unearthly beauty and power haunting her dreams, and a handsome yet disapproving FBI agent dogging her waking footsteps, she may be in way over her head….

And hey, if you win these books (or buy them if you don’t!) you’ll be ready in 2010 when these awesome looking books hit a shelf near you…

I would rather read the past by touching an object. Demons scare me.
Oh, and hypothetically, if I win…I already have Blue Diablo. LOVED IT!
I would prefer readng the past but just if it will happen only when I want it too. Would be really anooying if it happens with everything I touch. Otherwise I prefer the demons cuz they only come when I want them.
Have a nice Sunday you two.
I would love to summon and control demons. I could so use some right now. Have a great Sunday
I would love to be able to touch an object and know its history.
Happy Reading!!!
Anna
The Ability to Alter Reality that way you can do ANYTHING
I would definitely want to be able to su$mon demons. Demons give you a strength and power.
Even if they would be a little scary I am sure I could handle it.
I would very much rather read the past from an object – and sometimes its future.
I don’t really want to have the constant battle that dealing with demons would be. Because, yanno, nothing sentient really enjoys being controlled…
I think that I would have to say to read the past by touching objects. Hard to choose though.
I would rather read the past by touching an object. So much you can learn that way.
I would love to be able to read the past of an object. It would so rock to do that.

I would love to read the past by touching an object. Imagine touching something that belonged to a past king, queen or president? cfisher1504 at gmail dot com
I would take the pain to read the past of an object. Demons, no way. I can read them but I wouldn’ t want to summon them.

I would so love to be able to read the past by touching something. Stuff like that has just always fascinated me.
Just read this book and yeah I am a collector and think that would be cool to read an object…. it may want me to clear out some of the stuff after I read it… ewwwh she did what with that teddy bear on the bed>? LOL
I would love to be able to read the past by touching something — though I’m not such a big fan of pain
And I likely wouldn’t be able to control the demons, cuz I can barely control my own little monster
Plus, I have been DYING to read Blue Diablo ever since Bree’s fan girl gushing this summer
Thanks for the giveaway ladies!

I would love to be able to read the past-solve the mystery of Jack the Ripper and so many other things.
I’d like to summon demons. I’d sic them on all my ex’s.
I read “Blue Diablo” and it’s fantastic!
I’d read the past. I have no desire to control anything.
I would love to read the past. I like to read about demons, but to summon them, no thanks!
I would rather summon the demons – way more of a challenge to try to control them – and exciting!
I’d like to read the past by touching an object. I can just imagine all the things I could see and find out.
I have to say reading the past of objects. Scary, but not as scary as trying to control a demon. I don’t think I would want to be responsible for summoning a demon and then maybe losing control..nuh uh no way….Pain for me and object reading lesser responsiblity of the two.
I’d like to read the past
I would prefer the reading the past by touching an object power. I think it could be put to good use (like solving police mysteries) but I would be able to learn about past history which is speculated on.
Thanks!
I would rather be able to read the past of an object when I touch it. No thanks on the summoning demons!
I would like to be able to summon and control demons. Why? To clean up the sides of the road, mow grass, assist the elderly, pretty much whatever needs to be done. Why not put them to work if we have to deal with them anyway.

I would love to be able to read the past. Just think of all the crimes I could help solve. The resolution I could bring to so many grieving families by touching an object and divining what had happened. I know that there are psychics out there that can do this but it would be amazing to be able to do this. Pain is a small thing in comparison to the closure that it would bring to so many.
Thanks for entering me in the contest.
I’d have to go with being able to control demons. There has to be one that specializes in cleaning bathrooms in there somewhere.
idlove to have the power to read the pas by touching thingsbut really id like to beable to read the future be nice to know what to expect and such
i’d have to say controling demons. o yeah dishes would be a thing of the past lol
