The Semi-Weekly Roundup*

*For some values of semi-weekly.

Okay, we had a pretty awesome week last week. We wrapped up final edits on Sanctuary’s Price and finished the second Southern Arcana book (Crossroads) with the exception of one or two scenes we need to go back in and tweak.  And as if that wasn’t exciting enough, right in the middle of finalizing the galleys for Crux we got a surprise–our first print books!

Last Hope Print Books!

Woohoo!  Yeah, there might have been some hugging. And oh my god have I mentioned how much I love that font? It’s even prettier on the cover of a stack of books in my office, it turns out. :D

So for the rest of July we’ll be working pretty heavily on Southern Arcana stuff, both galleys for Crux & some polishing before we hand Crossroads over to our awesomely fabulous editor.  We’re also working on a mysterious paranormal novella for a mysterious project about which details are still…mysterious.  (I could try to vague that up for you, but I think I did a pretty good job.)

This week in reading: I finished Ann Aguirre’s upcoming Jax book Doubleblind and oh my God, it was sooooo good. I’m going to finish Victoria Dahl’s To Tempt a Scotsman next I think, and then jump on Nalini Singh’s Branded by Fire.  And my husband has recovered the copy of Cynthia Eden’s Hotter After Midnight that I misplaced during the move, so he gets extra love.
