Catching Up!

Posted on June 25, 2009 by

As some of you may have known, I bought my first house this week and Donna has been busily helping me settle in.  (Okay, our husbands helped too.)  This has been awesome because not only did our move take us away from the apartment of doom (Death Trap Since 2002!) but now I’m only a few miles from Donna which facilitates the plotting and writing and the randomly hanging out to watch movies.

So I’m a wee bit behind maybe, but there’s lots going on so time to tidy up a few of those loose ends!

  • We picked a random winner to get a copy of Moira Reid’s latest release Deep Cover and that winner is Heather Brewer!
  • You can still get in on the Sanctuary Lost release contest!
  • And don’t forget the Last Call Europe contest!

Donna & I will probably spend much of July locked in the Bat Cave as we finish off Crossroads and deal with Crux galleys.  We do have a short story coming out on July 3rd though, so maybe we’ll have to give away an ARC soon.
Laid Bare by Lauren Dane
I’m also thrilled that Linda Winfree’s agreed to sign a copies of her first five Hearts of the South books for us to give away.  (Okay, she’s signing the first six but you know what? I’m keeping Hearts Awakened and there’s nothing any of you can do to stop me, so nyah nyah.)

Also, I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek at Lauren Dane’s upcoming book Laid Bare and wow.  That is one erotic, intense, fabulous read, and I’m not gloating at all or anything (except I totally am) but anyone who likes their heroines tough but a little broken, their heroes strong in all the right ways and their romance smoking hot is going to love it.  And since she’s going to let me give away an autographed copy, I get to share the love.

So that’s what I did last week.  What did y’all do?

I am so freakin’ jealous!!! Laid Bare looks to die for!

Now what did I do last week…

I learned how to buy tickets using the ticket machine at the train station joy#pass!

And I taught my Chinese friend that drunks are the same in any language (one accosted us when we were conquering said machine)

    That’s it :D

YAY on moving in to your new house!

  2. Congrats on the house. Hubs and I are looking for a new house right now. The house we have been living in for the last 15 years or so is falling apart and not big enough. Plus we want to get our grandbaby into a better school district (she’s only 4 mo old right now).

Thanks for the book I emailed you back with my file type.

I am jealous too. Lauren Dane’s book looks awesome. I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

What have i done this week? My boss has been on vacation so it’s been a crazy week around work and we’ve been painting my daughter/granddaughter’s room so they can move out of my den and back in their bedroom.

    I agree crazy week.

Congrats on the new house. What have I done this week? My bf is gone for another 3 weeks, the house is spotless, and I have read 3 whole books so far. Life is great. You guys have a great weekend. :)

Lask week I did a bit of playing catch up myself. Of course, that’s been going on for the last week and a half anyway. Ever since I took vacation and didn’t get as much of my programming homework done as I had expected to. Now that I’m all caught up, I have one more program to finish and the final to take by midnight on Sunday.

    Congratulations on your new house!
