Come on backstage!

Before I get into my usual ramblings, I’d like to take a moment to talk about a release from fellow Samhain author Gia Dawn. Her latest book, Dunmore Rising comes out today. Unfortunately, Gia can’t tell you a lot about it, because she’s in the hospital, recovering from surgery. Get well soon, Gia!!

As for the book, it’s historical fantasy romance. If that’s your kind of deal, you should check these books out. Why? Just take a look at the “warning label” for this latest release:

Warning: This title contains cranky fairies, a gorgeous hero, and a heroine who just about kicks his ass…plus really sizzling sex told in naughty language.

Hell yeah. Who wouldn’t want to read that?

On the subject of releases, it’s time to give you guys a peep into the world behind the curtain.

This Friday, our first release hits the streets. Or the browsers, whatever. And while it seems like forever since we wrote Moonshine, it’s only been six months since the Wicked launch contest. How do print authors do it, when lead times from contract to release run upwards of two years?

Anyway, yeah. We’re so nervous we can barely function. My leg is bouncing as I’m typing this. It’s terrifying, the notion that people are soon going to be reading this and deciding whether they love or hate us. What if they think our hero is an ass? Or the heroine Too Stupid To Live?

Now I need ice cream. LOL

The fact of the matter is that some people are going to love the story, and others are going to hate it. It’s an unavoidable truth of life; one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

So, check out Moonshine this Friday. And here’s hoping you find it more treasure than trash. ;)
